In 2002, Halnn Super Hard Research Institute was established, CBN Inserts and high-grade diamond as the main research direction. We have 2 PhD, 3 professors, 5 associate professors, 12 R&D Doctor and master, own cubic pressing machine and laser thermal conductivity meter and other large-scale equipment with a total value of more than 18 million CNY. At the end of 2003, BN-K1 Solid CBN Inserts which used for machining high chromium white cast iron and chilled cast iron was launched. In 2004, BN-H10 PCBN Inserts which used for hard turning harden steel was launched and has been the leading position in Chinese PCBN Inserts area. In 2005, BN-S20 Solid CBN Insert specific for interrupted turning hardened steel was promoted, break the myth that CBN Inserts couldn’t be used for heavy interrupted turning hardened steel with large working allowance. In 2007, BN-S30 solid CBN inserts specific to rough machining gray cast iron was promoted, make it possible to high speed cutting gray cast iron with China CBN Inserts. In 2009, Specific for mechanical processing industry characteristics, Halnn launched PCBN Inserts Grade BN-K20 and BN-H20. In 2010, the first 1.7 carats Blue GEM grade diamond in China was developed by Halnn. So far, Halnn superhard have won 25 national patents. In 2011, Halnn Superhard was awarded one of the best companies in cutting tools industry in China. In 2016, Halnn launched new solid CBN Inserts Grade BNK30, which can be used both roughing and finishing process.
